How to text her you want to be exclusive and official

The talking stage is how you figure out if someone is worth your time. After a few weeks of real back and forth, a couple of hangouts, and conversations that go beyond surface stuff, you get clarity fast. If she's still initiating, matching your energy, and asking you questions about your life, she's interested.

But here's the thing: interest alone doesn't move things forward. The talking stage can trap you both. She might be waiting for you to make the move. She might also be hedging her bets. Either way, staying in that space breeds resentment. Asking her directly gets you an answer. That's the only way you know what's actually happening.

Don't disguise what you're asking for. Avoid 'what are we,' 'where is this going,' or messages that sound like you're asking her permission to feel something. She needs to hear that you want her to be your girlfriend. Make it about her, not about the situation. Say why you like her, not why you're tired of being single.

Keep it short. One or two sentences. If it's long, it reads like you're nervous and backpedaling. If she says no, you want that to be clear and quick, not buried under explanation. She should be able to read it in a second and know exactly what you're asking.

Morning or early afternoon is better than night. She's more present, more likely to think it through instead of just reacting when she's tired. If you send it at midnight, she might panic or ignore it.

After you send it, wait at least 24 hours before you send anything else. She might need time to sit with it. She might also be nervous and want to think about how to answer. If she doesn't reply in 24 hours, send one follow-up message keeping it light and keeping it short. 'Hey, no pressure, just curious what you're thinking.' After that, you stop. If she's interested, she'll respond. If she's not, you have your answer.
