How to use these

• The second message should make sense to someone who never saw the first.
• Do not apologise for double texting. It draws attention to a rule nobody else was enforcing.
• If the first message was a question, do not repeat it. Bring something new instead.

These are shapes, not scripts. A line that has been sent by a thousand people reads like one, and the good version of any of these has a detail in it that only applies to the person you are talking to.
